What do I say about myself?

I’m just a broken vessel. Nothing more.

I’m not a spiritual giant.

I don’t have all the answers.

I’m not trying to build a name or a platform. I’m only here because Jesus still loves me — and He’s never stopped.

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”

In 1995, God called me to Bolivar.

I didn’t understand it then, and I don’t fully understand it now. I pastored a church here in Bolivar for six years. Previously known as the "High Praise Church," and now the "Countryside Assembly."

The Holy Spirit impacted and transformed lives for two generations during the spiritual revival that took place at the High Praise Church.

I left tired, empty, broken, and certain I’d never be a pastor again.

But Jesus didn’t forget me. And in His mercy, He’s given me a mandate to finish the work He began with me in Bolivar.

"Open up the heavens over Bolivar and usher in the presence of God."

I don’t come with a polished vision.

I come with cracks.

With need.

With the ache to simply sit at His feet again — like the woman who brought her jar of expensive perfume and broke it open at Jesus' feet, not for show, but for love.

I’m not special.

I’m not better than anyone who walks in through our doors.

I know what it’s like to fall apart — and to be held by a Savior who never lets go.

I know what it means to be bound by the devil and wander through the wilderness.

I know the pure mercy of God toward a broken human.

That’s what Open Heavens Church is about.

Not hype.

Not performance.

Just people who are learning to be loved by Jesus and love Him back.

If He can love a broken vessel like me, He can and will love anyone.
